The verdict
Facts checked October 22, 2026
Every other answer to this question is written by someone paid when you buy: firms pay affiliates 8–25% of every challenge fee, including the resets and repeats — about 2.6 challenges per buyer per year. A page that earns from your attempts cannot afford the answer "not yet." This page can, because this site sells a workbook, not challenges.
About 7 in 100 buyers are ever paid. The FPFX Technology dataset — 300,000+ accounts across ten firms, the broadest that exists — found 14% of buyers reach the funded stage and about 45% of those ever receive a payout. The average payout, when it happens, is about 4% of the account size before the split.
The expected cost is a multiple of the ticket. A €540 ticket at a 14% funded rate implies ≈€3,860 in fees to reach funded, and ≈€7,700 in fees for every buyer who ever gets paid — against a ~$3,200 average payout on that size. The average buyer's expected payout per attempt is less than half the ticket. That is the shape of the product for the average buyer, before anyone's individual skill enters the story.
Your style can void the whole purchase. News bans that switch on at the funded stage, best-day caps, grid and martingale arithmetic, copy-trading bans enforced at payout review — a challenge can be the wrong product for a profitable style. Worth-it is a per-program, per-style question, which is why the verdict tool exists.
Worth it, sometimes, for a narrow reader: someone with a journaled demo record under the program's exact rules, buying the smallest size, whose style survives the funded-stage rulebook, and who budgets the 90%-confidence figure rather than one ticket. For a first purchase by a beginner at a headline size, the arithmetic says no — and names the cheaper door instead.
The verdict gives you the expected cost and the rule that applies to you. The Challenge Odds Kit gives you, program by program, the before-you-buy checklist, the style-versus-rules worksheets, the expected-cost workbook, and the payout-protection playbook: how to never hand a firm the excuse to refuse your payout.
